Tungsten to Led Transition Research Project

ISPD is running a Tungsten to LED transition research project at the moment in association with Theatre Forum and AIST. This project is funded by Arts Council Capacity Building Scheme and is being led by lighting designers Kevin Smith, Sarah Jane Shiels and Sinéad Wallace.

The aim of this research is to get a picture of how venues are coping with the current tungsten bulb shortage and any movement towards adopting LED units and intelligent fixtures across the island of Ireland. All information provided will help the researchers to get a full picture of where we are as an industry and what we need to do to secure resources needed to continue improving and future proofing our lighting capabilities in venues across the island of Ireland.
