An exploration of our current exhibition ‘Deep Mapping: Unseen Landscapes’ by Sinéad Ní Mhaonaigh, artist and facilitator Jane Fogarty will take your class on an artistic journey through the gallery. Using a hands-on approach, discuss the themes and techniques present in Sinéad’s paintings, with the opportunity to create abstract landscapes using paint and mixed media.
Curricular links in this workshop include: paint and colour, visual thinking, English and Irish language, history and geography.
Jane Fogarty is a Dublin based visual artist. Working predominantly through painting and sculpture, themes of time, form and colour influence her art practice. She explores various ways in which we interpret and understand the passing of time and how this can be translated into visual language.
