Love And Information

Love and Information by renowned playwright Caryl Churchill will be streamed from the CIT Cork School of Music (CIT CSM) Stack Theatre from Tuesday February 23rd to Saturday  27th February, performed by the final year ensemble of the CIT CSM BA in Theatre & Drama Studies Degree.

As Munster Technological University’s first theatre production, Love and Information will be available to stream directly to your home – in Cork, in Ireland, or anywhere else in the world. With direction by Regina Crowley, set design by Aoife Cahill, sound design by Cormac O’Connor, lighting design by Aoife Cahill, and costume design by Valentina Gambardella, this thought-churning, deeply poignant play is made up of 57 short scenes with brought to life by a year group of 22 embodying more than a hundred questioning, frustrated, fascinated characters.

Churchill’s play exhaustively mirrors our age of splintered attention span. It provokes us to think about the ways we make sense of our universe and our place within it. A sharp-minded tender-hearted play that celebrates the role of love and information in the life of Everyman!

This performance of Love and Information highlights the restrictions that all of us have found ourselves living under for the past few months. Rather than wait for the storm to pass and revert to old methods of theatre, this resilient group of young actors and theatre-makers have embraced a new online format of theatre presentation, to deliver a performance that is of-the-moment and captures the essence of love in the new virtual age.

Tickets €10/€6 conc. Book here.
