Bullets Cropped

The company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election will take place on Friday, 30 September 2022.

As the first step in the AGM process, we’re asking members to propose candidates for election. Note that while proposers must be paid-up Theatre Forum members, candidates don’t have to be members, though obviously should agree to the nomination. If you would like to propose someone, complete and return a nomination form by 1 September 2022.

As a registered charity, this Theatre Forum board director is a voluntary, unpaid board position. The Board of Directors meets at least six times per year plus the AGM.  Online attendance at board meetings is facilitated. You can consult the Theatre Forum CLG Constitution for company and governance information. Here’s the AGM timeline:

  • Open for nominations of candidates for election – 18 August 2022
  • Close for nominations of candidates for election – 1 September 2022
  • Notice of AGM to all members – 8 September 2022
  • AGM – 30 September 2022 (online and in-person) in the afternoon

Board composition
While the board always aims to be broadly representative of the membership, it’s diversity, inclusivity and accessibility are important too. Theatre Forum welcomes the nomination of people from all parts of our sector, from existing and new communities, and from all social backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures and traditions. The nomination of candidates working in theatre, dance, opera, festivals, arts centres, as well as those working with young audiences, new communities and making, producing and touring work of scale locally, nationally, and internationally is encouraged.

Financial Statements
For candidates and proposers, you can review Theatre Forum’s 2020 Financial Statements.
The 2021 Financial Statements will be published with the Notice of the AGM.
