Audience Survey

A pre-requisite for arts centres and theatres’ reopening plans from 20 July is adherence to social distancing measures. Gauging audience sentiment and its likely impact on box office income is a big factor in reopening plans. Understanding how quickly audiences will be comfortable in booking and attending live performances is also important.

To help us to continue to generate more media coverage of the sector’s reopening challenges of smaller capacities, fewer audience members and dramatically reduced box office income, we’re asking all our arts organisation members to carry out this audience sentiment survey by the end of the week, Friday 12 June. This should reflect the impact of the weekend’s accelerated reopening announcements and generate findings needed to represent the sector’s need for support.
